If you want an excellent ultrawide camera
The OnePlus 9 is a step-down version of the OnePlus 9 Pro. It is an excellent phone.
The 9 is a great choice, and it’s not too expensive. It offers excellent performance, a Snapdragon 808 processor, fast charging at 65W, and is a popular choice for landscape photographers.
The OnePlus 9’s ultrawide sensor is larger than others and has a healthy 50-megapixel resolution. Unique lens design corrects distortion and doesn’t introduce the funhouse mirror-type stretching that you often see in corners of ultrawide images. If super-wide photography is not your thing, the main camera can still produce solid images. The images are well-exposed and the colors are vibrant. OnePlus is proud to highlight the Hasselblad’s color science, which although it does a great job, isn’t as impressive as the company claims.
The 9 Pro is missing a few good camera features. The 9 Pro’s main camera has optical image stabilization. This is useful because it can keep subjects sharp even in low light conditions. The 9 Pro doesn’t have a telephoto lens. There is only digital zoom. This isn’t quite as effective as the 9 Pro’s optical Zoom.
AT&T’s 5G network doesn’t support the OnePlus 9. It works on Verizon’s and T-Mobile’s 5G networks. It’s not a huge loss, but it could become a problem in the future. Despite a few camera features missing, the OnePlus 9 is a great device. The OnePlus 9 offers a flagship experience and performance, but costs a little less than some of the top-end Android options. It also has a very good ultrawide camera that is perfect for wide-angle photographers.
